PDH connections remain plentiful. For instance, more
than 70 percent of all mobile backhaul connections (copper and
radio) worldwide are PDH-based, according to Infonetics Research.
And, according to research from Vertical Systems Group Inc., only
13.4 percent of buildings are connected with fiber, leaving a
majority with copper-based T1/T3 connections.
