 Ms. Cochran is a Principal of Vertical Systems Group, responsible for
directing the firm's
Strategic Consulting and Research Services practices. In this role, she
directs the development and delivery of the firm's offerings to clients worldwide.
She launched the company with the vision of supplying the
industry with "real world" market quantification and research
analysis. Since that time, she has led numerous custom
consulting engagements, including strategic plan reviews, market
opportunity assessments, primary research studies and due diligence
for potential mergers/acquisitions.
Ms. Cochran is regularly sourced by the media, speaks at industry
forums and has authored articles for leading industry journals. In
2011, Ms. Cochran was chosen by Fierce Telecom as one of the
top ten Women in Wireline. She has also been recognized among the "Unsung
Heroes" of the Internet. Her experience includes marketing,
sales, technical support and software
programming. Before founding Vertical in 1986, she held management positions at a
T1 multiplexer start-up, a network services company (Tymnet) and a computer
timesharing firm.
