2023 U.S. SD-WAN Technology LEADERBOARD

Four of the five LEADERBOARD positions change; VMware by Broadcom secures #1 rank, surpassing Cisco; HPE Aruba Networking advances to #4, ahead of Versa Networks

BOSTON, MA, MARCH 20, 2024 – Vertical Systems Group announces that five companies qualify for a rank position on the 2023 U.S. SD-WAN Technology LEADERBOARD as follows (in rank order based on site share): VMware by Broadcom, Cisco, Fortinet, HPE Aruba Networking, and Versa Networks. This benchmark quantifies U.S. market presence across the technology suppliers empowering Carrier Managed SD-WAN solutions.

Each of these Technology Suppliers has 5% or more of the total number of U.S. Carrier Managed SD-WAN customer sites installed and billable as of December 31, 2023. For this analysis a site is counted once per supplier, regardless of the amount of SD-WAN equipment installed at the customer location.

“Significant changes in site shares for the leading SD-WAN Technology companies resulted in a shakeup in the year-end 2023 rankings. Many enterprise customers are refreshing their Carrier Managed SD-WAN networks with new orchestration capabilities, dynamic underlay connectivity, and SSE security.”

Vertical Systems Group’s Definition: Carrier Managed SD-WAN Service
